SAUDI ARABIA BANS FOREIGN SALESMEN

Dubai: Saudi Arabia’s labour ministry has suspended visas for foreign salesmen at all lingerie and cosmetics shops to pressurise business owners to employ Saudi women in these stores. Fahd Al-Takhifi, Assistant Undersecretary for Development at the Ministry of Labour, said the ministry will continue to allow these companies to employ males in other positions. According to the report, business owners have until June 27 to employ Saudi women in all cosmetics shops, as is currently the case with lingerie shops. [financialexpress.com]

Spring for us usually is associated with “Skinny love” from Bon Iver, some sunny days but not too much and rain. Well, the last part might be changed as the global warming/dimming process makes it harder and harder to predict the lenght of the seasons. But for those rainy days of spring which we like we thought to give you something to get inspired. We were thinking of rain and from rain we ended up thinking about umbrellas. Brassaï, “Paris by Night” and lingerie

Have you heard of Brassaï?

Brassaï was the pseudonym of Gyula Halász (1899-1984), a Parisian photographer considered by all as one of the great photographers of the 20th century. Brassaï took his name from the town of his birth, Brasso/Brasov in Transylvania, then part of the Hungarian Principality, later of Kingdom of Romania, or Romania as we all know it today, our homeland.
